Backend Golang Developer
Summary of the Role
We are looking for a Senior / Staff Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale high-performance backend systems and microservices. We need an autonomous engineer who can write clear technical specs, make solid architecture decisions, and take end-to-end ownership of features.
Desired Skills
- English Proficiency: B2 English level or above (strong verbal and written communication).
- Availability: Full-time availability.
- Experience: 7+ years of professional backend development experience.
- Core Stack: Strong hands-on experience with Golang (5+ years).
- Distributed Systems: Solid understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous workflows.
- Databases: Hands-on experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
- Cloud & Containers: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and major cloud providers (AWS or GCP).
Responsibilities
- Backend Development: Build and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Golang.
- System Design: Architect reliable, asynchronous, and event-driven distributed systems.
- API Design: Define and implement robust APIs using REST, gRPC, or async messaging.
- Data Management: Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) to ensure efficient data modeling and persistence.
- Technical Ownership: Write clear design documentation before coding and collaborate with product/tech teams on requirements.
- Cloud & Operations: Support deployment and orchestration of services on cloud platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Billing & Payments: Experience with billing engines, payment gateways (e.g., Stripe), or accounting integrations.
- Logistics & Supply Chain: Familiarity with order routing, supply chain, or fulfillment workflows.
- Event-Driven & Cloud Native: Hands-on experience with asynchronous messaging (AWS SQS/Kafka) and AWS Lambda.
- Frontend Knowledge: Basic familiarity with Vue.js or modern JS frameworks.
- Mentorship: Track record of mentoring junior engineers and writing technical specs.
