There's something no Zoom call can replace: bringing a community together in the same room. That's what happened at the Howdy House in Montevideo when we opened the doors for the Ruby Meetup. There were talks, code, mate, and those hallway conversations where, often, the best stuff happens.

A community that runs on Ruby and Rails

The meetup brought together developers who share more than a language: the drive to learn as a group. Between talks and demos, people discussed Ruby, Rails, and the real problems teams are dealing with today. The kind of event where you leave with a new idea and three contacts you didn't have in the morning.

Interviews with Marco Roth and Seth Horsley

We took the chance to sit down with two special guests: Marco Roth, Full Stack Software Engineer, and Seth Horsley, founder of StateCert. Two different perspectives, one from the craft of coding and one from building product and company, that complement each other really well for understanding where the ecosystem is headed.

Why we do this at Howdy

For us, opening up the Howdy House to the community isn't marketing: it's part of how we understand talent. The best developers from LATAM don't grow in isolation, they grow in community. That's why we invest in these spaces for sharing, learning, and meeting people who push you to get better.
