What is a Senior Community Admin?

Excellent question, because while “admin” may sound straightforward, this role is anything but basic.

At Howdy, Community is one of our core values, and creating meaningful experiences for hundreds of people across multiple countries takes far more than event planning and ordering birthday cakes (though yes, sometimes that too).

A Senior Community Admin is a high-trust operational role responsible for keeping Community execution efficient, consistent, and scalable. This person owns complex workflows, manages initiatives from start to finish, helps solve operational challenges, and serves as a steady hand for the broader team.

This role goes beyond execution alone. Senior Community Admins are expected to think critically about how things work, identify inefficiencies, improve processes, and help bring more structure to the way Community operates. They are often the person others turn to when something gets messy, complicated, or needs a reliable owner.

This is also the first level where leadership begins to show up more intentionally. While this is not a formal people management role, Senior Community Admins are expected to support junior teammates, share knowledge, provide guidance, and help strengthen overall team execution.

If you’re someone who loves operational excellence, solving moving puzzles, and making systems better while helping others grow, this role was probably made for you.
