Role Summary
We are looking for a Senior Systems & Optimization Engineer to build the underlying scheduling brain of a decentralized edge compute network.
This is a pure backend role sitting at the crossroads of system-level math, operational research, and hardware telemetry. You will be tasked with designing the complex mathematical optimization models and policy engines that instantly compute where to route heavy computing workloads across thousands of autonomous edge locations.
Responsibilities
- Optimization Brain: Design and implement complex mathematical models and scheduling systems to determine the optimal placement of computing tasks in real-time.
- Telemetry & Policy Design: Process multi-variable data streams (grid carbon intensity, network bandwidth, thermal thresholds) into concrete reward-functions.
- Infrastructure Analytics: Evaluate distributed telemetry data from first principles to forecast infrastructure bottlenecks and maximize fleet efficiency.
Desired Skills:
- +5 years of professional experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar positions.
- Advanced Python scripting and algorithm design capabilities. (+ 5 years of experience)
- Solid background building mathematical optimization models and complex resource scheduling engines.
- Exceptional telemetry analytics depth (processing large streams of dynamic hardware state inputs).
- Deep structural systems thinking (understanding hardware bottlenecks, cache-behavior, network limits).
- Experience architecting infrastructure-aware data solutions or platform policy systems.
