Product Manager Internal

Role Summary

Own a slice of Howdy’s Partner App and Internal Admin experiences end to end, turning hiring and team-management workflows into simple, measurable product flows that reduce time to hire, improve engineer retention, and grow margin.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and track ongoing product projects, ensuring timely progress.
• Work closely with engineers on a daily basis, clarifying priorities and business impact.
• Identify and define problems to be solved, supporting the discovery process.
• Ensure rigorous tracking and follow-up for newly launched features.
• Own instrumentation and observability: define tracking plans, ensure events are shipped, maintain trustworthy dashboards, and make decisions from data.
• Collaborate with the Business Development team and with our Account Managers to gather client insights and feedback on features.
• Bring discipline and best practices to product workflows.
• Act as the connector between teams, ensuring smooth collaboration across departments.
• Position and “sell” the product vision internally.
• Drive discovery using Jobs To Be Done: plan and run interviews with Partners, AMs, Salespeople, and Engineers; craft JTBD stories, and translate them into clear problem definitions and desired outcomes.
• Write Product Discovery documents, collaborate with UI/UX designers on functional designs, review System Designs with engineering leaders.
• Align with the Engineering team on test strategy per feature, including unit coverage of business risks and a basic end-to-end happy path before general release.
• Manage feature flags, lead UAT, coordinate staged rollouts, and publish concise release notes and changelogs.
• Monitor post-launch health with alerts and dashboards.
• Support product marketing efforts, including blog posts and communication materials.



Main Skills & Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Product Management or related roles.
• Background in IT and SaaS, ideally with experience transforming services into products.
• Previous engineering experience is a strong plus.
• Good eye for UI/UX, with appreciation of design’s role in adoption and usability.
• Ability to adapt to existing processes while bringing structure and best practices.
• Strong communication skills, able to engage with stakeholders across all seniority levels.
• Able to navigate and build alignment across departments.
• Strong sense of ownership, ensuring maximum value is extracted from product initiatives.
• Experience in startups is a plus.
• Organized and detail-oriented, ensuring discipline in workflows and documentation.
• Flexible, collaborative, and proactive mindset.
• Comfortable applying Jobs To Be Done in discovery and prioritization.
• Data fluent: able to define metrics, pull basic queries or build dashboards, and decide from evidence.
• Tooling comfort with Jira, Figma, Salesforce, Slack, GitHub, and an analytics platform.
• Bilingual English and Spanish with clear written English.
• Reliable overlap with US Central hours.
• Experience with AI-assisted features or LLM-adjacent UX is a plus.

30/60/90 Day Expectations

• 30 days: understand KPIs and JTBD for your area, ship a small improvement, and own a live dashboard.
• 60 days: lead Discovery on a priority problem, deliver a PRD, validate with a limited rollout behind a flag.
• 90 days: own a roadmap slice, show KPI movement, and establish a steady ship-measure-learn cadence.
