Summary of the Role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to own our cloud infrastructure and software delivery pipeline. You will partner with engineering teams to automate CI/CD, optimize AWS ECS architectures, implement observability, and streamline the developer experience in a fast-scaling environment.

Desired Skills

  • Location & Timezone: Based in Argentina or Mexico with Central Time (CST) alignment and on-call availability.
  • English Proficiency: B2 English level or above (strong verbal and written communication).
  • Availability: Full-time availability.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or similar roles.
  • Container Orchestration: 5+ years of hands-on professional experience with AWS ECS and Docker.
  • CI/CD Automation: Proven track record of building deployment pipelines explicitly with GitHub Actions.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Production mastery of Terraform for modular IaC design.
  • AWS & Scripting: Deep command of core AWS services (VPC/networking, IAM) and scripting fluency in Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Observability & Security: Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and cloud security best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure & Automation Ownership: Design, maintain, and automate scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines using Terraform, AWS ECS, and GitHub Actions.
  • Deployment & DX Optimization: Automate software delivery processes to eliminate manual steps, improve release velocity, and streamline developer workflows.
  • Observability & Incident Response: Build and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure high system availability; participate in on-call rotations and lead root-cause troubleshooting for live incidents.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with backend and product engineering teams to clarify cloud dependencies, modernize pipelines, and support platform scaling.

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) certifications.
  • Early-stage startup experience building infrastructure from scratch.
  • Personal passion or interest in sports tech or SaaS platforms.
