Howdy started in Austin, Texas, in 2018, during a tech boom and a serious talent shortage. As companies scrambled for the same local hires, we leaned into a conviction that had always been clear to us: great talent exists all over the world, it just doesn't always get the same access. So we built the bridge.
From day one, we've been people-first. We focus on long-term growth, real career paths, and building better teams, not quick fixes. Skills matter, of course, but shared values and genuine connection matter even more.
Today, Howdy is valued at over $100 million and is one of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S., including the fourth fastest-growing in Central Texas. We're proud of the growth, but what really drives us is building meaningful careers and a community that feels human, wherever you're working from.

A Vision for the Entire Region
Jacqueline Samira creates Howdy with 5 people and 1 client but with a very clear idea: to connect the best talent in Latin America with great companies in the United States.
We Set Foot in Latin America
In 2019 we open our first Howdy House, located in Montevideo, Uruguay.
A Big Step for Howdy
The pandemic couldn't stop us and not only did we reach 50 people at Howdy, but we also opened a new Howdy House, this time in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Growth in the Heat of the Caribbean
We were accepted into Y Combinator, which helped us grow by a factor of 10. And we also opened two Howdy Houses in Colombia.
A Great Idea and a Great Investment
We went through another round of investment, raising $13MM and reaching a new valuation of $105MM.
Our Expansion Continues
We were recognised as the 4th fastest growing company in Central Texas. In addition, we acquired our sister company GeekHunter, starting operations to Brazil.
We Reached a New Milestone
2024 was the year we surpassed 370 people, something that was a dream in 2018. If you've made it this far and seen all the achievements, you'll know that the only thing that awaits us from now on is to keep growing.
We Pushed Our Limits Even Farther
This was the year where we achieved consistent growth, as we signed 34 new partners and 250 new talents. We also opened up new Howdy Houses around Latin America, and started hosting events all over the region.
