Sr. Events Coordinator (São Paulo - BR)
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute local events and brand activations mainly in São Paulo, with potential activities in other regions of Brazil.
- Build the local events strategy from scratch, bringing creative ideas and proven practices to help establish Howdy’s brand presence in the country.
- Research, select, and manage venues and suppliers, ensuring reliability and quality in every execution.
- Handle end-to-end logistics (venue, catering, audiovisual, branded materials, staffing, timelines, and budgets).
- Represent Howdy during events — delivering opening remarks, engaging with attendees, and embodying our brand voice and culture.
- Gather and share local market insights to help the PX and Marketing teams shape future initiatives.
- Occasionally help capture photo/video content to showcase events and office culture, supporting our social media and brand visibility efforts.
- Promote events through relevant local tech and community channels (Slack, Discord, LinkedIn, Telegram, etc.) and track engagement.
- Collect post-event feedback, analyze results, and propose improvements for future experiences.
- Maintain and update the database of partners, suppliers, and tech communities for better outreach and continuity.
Main skills and Qualifications
- 4+ years of proven experience in event coordination — ideally within the IT or tech ecosystem.
- Deep understanding of local vendor networks and event logistics in Brazil.
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end event execution independently.
- Strong sense of ownership, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in English (required) — Spanish is a big plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable speaking in public.
- Experience with merchandising and brand activations is a strong plus.
- Self-starter, resourceful, and proactive — someone who can help us navigate “uncharted territory” and bring local expertise to the table.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for events.
